Engineering Expo and Mechanical Team Progress Update - February 2019

Last weekend our KU Engineering Expo event was a huge success. Over 3,000 kids visited our section of the Expo to try their hand in alternative energy. The future Jayhawks crafted small-rubber-band, green and yellow tired, propeller-powered cars to race each other for first place.



Progress Update: Also, speaking of tires, earlier in the weekend the Mechanical Sub-team tested the first rear tire’s suspension on an MTS loading machine. The suspension was able to take 722 lbf. This test represents significant progress going forward as we begin to get deeper into the design phase.
